"Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself
and know that
everything in life has a purpose."- Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
Nicolay Kreidler, LMT (Licensed in Hawaii, Texas), RYT 200 (YogaRegistry) trained professionally in Hawaii and at the School of Shiatsu and Massage at Harbin Hot Springs, California. His education on land included Shiatsu, Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Craniosacral as well as Deep Tissue and Swedish massage. Nicolay is a registered yoga teacher.
He is also an Aquatic Bodyworker and trained in Watsu® and Healing Dance. Nicolay has assisted and taught in many bodywork classes as well being in active private practice in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. His involvement for years in group-dynamics enables him to support people in their process of communication and Self-realization. Those he has touched will testify to his ability to hold a space sacred and safe for learning and healing.
Nicolay encountered bodywork as a gateway to his heart. The unexpected experience of the moment expanding and permeating his body and mind during sessions continued to draw him into a state of observation without knowing. His teachers encouraged this transformational process of letting go and diving in.
This endless resource proved to be at the core of any technique. Without this connection the practice remained just that. Tapping into the heart source added a tangible quality of transformation. He believes this access is available to anyone who seeks it.
Nicolay has been practicing yoga for 15 years. His primary influence is Iyengar and Kundalini style yoga. He graduated from the 200-hour accredited teacher training at the Living Yoga Program in Austin, Texas.
Nicolay is registered as a principal massage therapist at Kalani Oceanside Retreat where some of the workshops are held. In 2004 and 2005 he held the position of spa director at the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa on Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, a luxury full-service destination spa where he was responsible for all aspects of this successful operation. He most recently opened Spa Django for the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas as opening spa director
Nicolay was born in South Africa, grew up in Canada and Germany. After
a successful career as owner and managing director of a number of large
health-food restaurants, consulting and alternative marketing he resigned
from the business world. In his travels he was introduced to the healing
arts. His first encounter was with Fran Brown, one of only 7 remaining actively
teaching Reiki masters in the direct lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui, Chujiro
Hayashi and Hawayo Takata. From Rev. Brown he received first and second
degree Reiki initiation.
After practicing as a volunteer in an Aids clinic in San Francisco he continued his discovery of bodywork, falling in love with Watsu© and the water at Harbin Hot Springs, California. More training and practice followed on journeys to New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and India. After returning he moved to the Big Island of Hawaii where he lived for 7 years. He now lives in Bali, Indonesia.
